Worship & Education

We gather every Sunday at 9AM for traditional flavored and joyful Lutheran worship.  Communion is served on the first and third Sunday of the month.  All are welcome at communion as it is God’s Table!  Children’s Sermons are always part of the worship time, and kids of all ages are welcome to add their joyful noises to the service.  We love kids!  Come and see for yourself!

Education is an important part of our life of faith and for the good of the world.  Here at Calvary we teach the importance of faith, the way of Jesus, and a tolerance and curiosity for all faiths.  If you have questions about what the ELCA teaches and lives, call Pastor Kevin or peruse http://www.elca.org/What-We-Believe/Statements-of-Belief.aspx

For a look into the social statements of our church, which outline where our faith calls us into action and justice in the world, we highly recommend reading where the ELCA stands on difficult questions such such as sexuality, ethics, restorative justice, immigration, etc.  This link can also be found on the same webpage as listed above.

On the third Sunday of the month, we have fellowship following the service.  Join us in the fellowship hall for coffee and sweet treats.

Other education opportunities include an after-school program on select Wednesdays from 3:45-5:30PM during the school year.  All elementary aged kids are welcome to this free program.

We also offer confirmation education for middle and high schooler.  Contact the church office or the pastor for more information.
